Every company has a story, but not every company has one like ours. Frank Gejdos and his Sister Dorri Vincent started Homestyle Construction in 1990. Over a four-year period, and a name change to Homestyle Kitchens and Renovations to reflect an increase in focus towards kitchens and cabinetry, Homestyle continued to grow. Successful projects led Frank and Dorri to begin working on custom homes and commercial buildings and a reevaluation of the “Homestyle” brand. Around this time, Franks father, who was also named Frank, passed away. In memory of Frank senior, the name Frank and Dorri chose for their new brand was Frank Seniors nickname “Fero”.
In 2015, Frank and Dorri decided that it was time to retire, and considered closing Fero down. However, two of their employees, Kevin Hall and Sean Gallagher expressed interest in purchasing the company. In doing so, Kevin and Sean decided to keep the Fero name and carry on the legacy built by Frank, Dori, and Fero himself.
Frank Senior came to Fort St. John in 1961 and was a plumber. He was always community minded, and in fact started the gold panning tradition that continues in Taylor today.
